John Teo

President, JOHN TEO has been a member of IBM since 1981.He was conferred the Order of Merlin having been in the organization for at least 25 continuous years. John is presently a free-lance trainer and consultant. He performs all types of magic, from children shows to gospel magic to trade and corporate shows. He enjoys applying the principles of magic to all types of events and circumstances. His favourite category of magic is mentalism.

Enrico Varella

ENRICO VARELLA is our Vice-President; prior to this, he was the Secretary.

A recipient of the IBM Wizard Award, he has been published in The Linking Ring, MagicSeenUK, and has edited two Ring Parades for IBM 115. He is the creator of Tiepit, the jacket-less topit featured in Bob Fitch's Topit Workshop DVDs.

Enrico is the Editor-in-Chief and Founder of The Quantum Ring, Ring 115's in-house newsletter (since 1994). He was the only local magician to perform on AXN Channel's Mondo Magic Singapore. This motivational leader, trainer & speaker is the author of "Leadership Lessons from Triathlons" and is a 8-time Ironman triathlon finisher, and seasoned marathoner.

Nique Tan Secretary, NIQUE TAN is a full-time professional magician and has been an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Singapore Ring 115 since the early-nineties. Highly proficient in sleight of hand magic as well as mentalism, he is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. He is a 2-time winner of IBM 115 magic competitions; firstly in 1997, and then in 2003. He recently released his book, Working the Crowd.
 

 

KENNETH CHIA is our tireless member who manages our memberships (including defaulting members), qualifying tests, charity events, and driving our lecturers around Singapore if need be. He is Properties Supervisor in SIA (managing development works). His pastimes include his Part-Time Study (no choice) and spending time with family over weekend. He also performs children magic, whenever possible.

Victor Heng Vic's interest is in creating new ideas through magic and collaboration learning. His favourite catagory of magic is mentalism, and some of his favourite routines include the magic square, instant Kubick, Tic Tac Toe, and some ropes routines. He is currently the Honorary Treasurer of IBM Ring 115.
Jui Kuan

TAN JUI KUAN is a polytechnic lecturer. He joined IBM Ring115 about 2 years ago. He uses magic to illustrate engineering concepts during his lecture. He enjoys science magic and performs magic for children's parties and old-folks' homes. He is very clever at utilizing magical principles and metaphors effectively in his teaching. His favorite routines include Newater production and the straw-through-potato.

Bernard Sim

BERNARD SIM is a valuable member in our committee, because of his talent and experience for managing backstage and front of stage work. He helped us conduct our annual dinner show and Parlour Magic Competition with clockwork ease and fluidity. He is a Financial Futures Trader and his pastimes include reading many novels, doing coin magic, and dice stacking. His coin effects have been published in The Linking Ring and he is the creator of the bestselling rubber band effect, Really Linked!

Joshua Lee

JOSHUA LEE has always liked magic since young, but o­nly become more active in magic in recent years; he started attending IBM Singapore Ring 115's meeting since August 2006. He enjoys all branches of magic, and hopes that he can develop his skills in close up magic, as well as mentalism. He is currently our web-master, managing our website.

Betsy Teo

BETSY TEO is presently a Team Director in the real estate industry. Being married to a magician, she is not o­nly a sought-after magician’s assistant, she is also a performing magician in her own right. Betsy enjoys performing stage magic with colourful props such as with silks and flowers. Not satisfied with merely understanding the workings of magical props, she often improves upon their working and handling. In her spare time, Betsy does balloon sculpturing and collects stirrers and plastic cards.
